Product Knowledge · Published

Understand the standard grading system in the refurbished electronics industry. From cosmetics to functionality and battery health, learn what each grade means for your business.

What is Phone Grading?

Phone grading is an industry-standard quality assessment system that helps buyers quickly understand the overall condition of a device. At Danghuan, we use the internationally recognized A/B/C three-tier classification system.

Grade A (Like New)

Almost no visible signs of use, screen free of scratches, body free of dents. All functions operate normally, battery health ≥85%. Ideal for retailers and operators with the highest quality requirements.

Grade B (Good)

Minor signs of use, may have slight scratches that don't affect the user experience. All core functions work normally, battery health ≥75%. The best value-for-money choice, suitable for most B2B wholesalers.

Grade C (Fair)

Visible signs of use, may have noticeable scratches or minor dents. Fully functional but with cosmetic imperfections, battery health ≥65%. Most competitively priced, ideal for refurbishment channels.

Why Does Grading Matter?

A standardized grading system makes B2B transactions more transparent and efficient. Buyers can choose the appropriate grade based on their target market, optimizing procurement costs and profit margins.
